Cevisama 2008 : the CSEM UAE presents “Smart Digital Tile”

 

CSEM-UAE presented its “Smart Digital Tile” exhibitor at the Cevisama 2008 (Spain) on February 5st-9st, in collaboration with RAK Ceramics.

As part of its innovation mission in the areas of ceramic material, sensor systems and control solutions, CSEM UAE keeps on bringing new concepts on the innovation scene. “Smart Digital Tile” is one of these new concepts. It mixes standard tiles and proximity sensors to provide customers with a new way of interacting with their environment.

“Smart Digital Tile” can ideally replace usual switches and other controls that are scattered in a typical modern house or apartment. As the sensors are integrated directly in tiles, they are not visible for the user.

The lights of the mirror, the spotlight, the tap and the mirror shade are all controlled with proximity sensors that are integrated with a RAK Ceramics standard tile of the “Crema Rossa” series.
